Cross Stitches and New Scrapbook
I have actually gotten to work on my scrapbook and cross stitch. It has really helped doing something creative. I have been working on ABC Lessons by Lizzie Kate and Mermaids of the Deep Blue by Mirabilia. It seems to be working out for me having one easy piece and one hard piece to work on. Anywho, take a look at my new scrapbook - Christmas2010Scrapbook.

A New Year
Welcome 2011. 2010 seemed to fly by. Evan will be 2 in March and Blake will be 6. Hope to get more crafts done. There wasn't much cross stitching in 2010. I really miss that get away time. Maybe I can get more in this year. I need to go through all my WIPs and my "I wanna starts". Lately, I have been working on Lizzie Kate's ABC Lessons. Easy breezy stitching, just a lot of it. Easy to stitch in the car (which seems to be where most of my stitching is being done). I am hoping I can regain some of my sanity with more stitching. All hail more stitching in 2011!

Yeah...yeah... I know..
OK. So I really haven't done much cross stitching lately. We got a couple of new Wii games. I have been playing with the kids. I also have been working more on scrapbooks. I am so behind and my kids are growing so fast. Anywho, I have decided to post my scrapbooks to show that I have been crafty, just not cross stitch crafty.
I will have to scan in Blake's 3rd Birthday Scrapbook - so that will come later.

Cross Stitch...no, Scrapbook...Yes
Well, my cross stitching has not been happening this year. With a toddler running around, it is kind of hard to stitch. He wants to play with the light. He keeps trying to see what he can take from me that looks interesting. So, what have I been doing? Catching up on my scrapbooking.
I am still so far behind. I have started digital scrapbooking which I have found a new love for. It is so fun and easy, and actually, I feel, is a little cheaper than traditional when all is said and done. However, I have a ton of papers and embellishments to use... and a whole lot of old photos that are printed, so thus, can't go all the way digital just yet.
I am not creative like some people. I have seen some of the most amazing pages. Some that are simple and elegant; others that are collagey and fun. I am lucky to put mats under my pics and some embellishments. When it comes to journaling, well, the computer better be around. I have the worst handwriting ever. Thank God for free fonts!
I love Adobe Photoshop. I am using it to make some cool collages. I am using Creative Memories Storybook Creator for my digital scrapbooking. I highly recommend it. It is so easy to use. You can buy their kits or use whatever you import in. I have scanned some of my own papers to use.
I hope I can scan some of my pages and put them in the 2010 folders. I finished a high school yearbook. I also updated my oldest sons book. I think I could scrapbook everyday and never get caught up...(I love taking pictures... and I have a niece who is a photography major. She takes great pics.).
Well, sorry no pics yet, but I hope to post some soon.
Maybe I could find a small cross stitch to do so that I feel like I accomplished something...:D.
Later.
